The World of Anarchy Online is set on the planet Rubi-Ka, the only planet in the universe that holds the powerful material Notum. The Notum is the reason why mankind now got the ability to improve upon themselves. The Super Trading Company OmiTek terraformed Rubi-Ka and started to harvest the Notum in mines below ground. One day, the bad treated workmen started a revolt against the OmniTek overseers and the revolution began. The revolution splintered into Clans. Each Clan got own motivations and goals they want to fulfill. Together, they stand against the corrupt and better equipped OmniTek.
Despite the war, Rubi-Ka holds many great places. Wide open deserts, hard to come by locations full of wonder and strange creatures. The faction cities are huge and full of technology. Bars and Clubs invite you to stay a while. Large Forests, mysterious installations and one big secret around a long lost alien society awaits to be discovered. The two suns that set every morning are marvelous. At dawn you can see the on the moon build city of Jobe on its surface. Space Gliders and other vehicles transfer the people around the globe.
A crazy experiment in the laboratories of Jobe opened a portal into another dimension: The Shadowlands! Seven gigantic outdoor areas confront the people of Rubi-Ka with two new alien races that both fight an endless war on their dying world. At it’s end, a gigantic soil of notum power, which can be seen from the very edge of the Shadowlands, stretches itself into the sky. At its ground, the almighty but by evil corrupted creator of live – simply called the beast – awaits.
As Beast fel – destroyed by the people of the Clans and OmniTek – a horrifying invasion of the evil alien race Kyr’Ochz hit the planet. Gigantic mother-ships fly over the planet and everything on the surface of Rubi-Ka hides from the coming darkness. A myth – the conspiracy of the Dust Brigade – awakes from its sleep. Equal how beautiful or existing the setting of Rubi-Ka is, the endless war between Clan & Omni, the dangers from the Shadowlands and the almighty Kyr’Ochz alien fleet, make the people fight for their existence and right to live!
