Lets Play: System Shock – Set 1 Review
Watch my Lets Play (Videowalkthrough) for this game here!
One half-year has passed, since I started my Commentary Series for System Shock. Lets have a little review about the 4 sets, which I uploaded during this time. Lets check what happened and what I liked the most while playing through this awesome gem from the 90s.
Set 1: Elevator Restart
I woke up in the Medical-Section of Citadel Station and left my Cryo-Chamber. In a locker nearby I found a note written by myself in which I wrote down what happened. I am a Hacker and I got caught my Tri-Op Security officers during my hack trough Tri-Optimums Network Security. Some days later they brought me to Tri-Ops very own Space-Station around earths orbit.
On board of Citadel Station, Tri-Ops secondary officer Edward Diego offered me to drop my accuses and to give me a neural-military-grade-interface if I do him a favour. So I hacked into the stations artificial-intelligence called S.H.O.D.A.N. and removed her ethical barrier. After my successfully accomplished job, he ordered to lay me down in cryostasis and installed the offered neural interface into my head. 6 months later I woke up, my memories removed and surrounded by death.
Short after I left the room with the locker, I received a E-Mail from a woman named Rebecca Lansing. She told me that S.H.O.D.A.N. got mad and killed almost every one of the inhabitants of the station, using robots as their army and rebuilding dead bodies into deadly Cyborgs and Assassins.
Edward Diego is now her puppet and nobody knows what happened to him. Rebecca knew about my plan and she wants me now to make it good again by hacking into cyberspace and destroying the mad artificial intelligence.

Lets Play: Flashback Legends
Flashback Legends was meant to be the second sequel to the platformer Flashback – The Quest for Identity, which was released on many different consoles and systems in the early 90s and should be released for the Game Boy Advanced in 2003. It never happened because Delphine Software got bankrupt during the development of the game. Somehow, one of the first Beta-Versions was leaked by a unknown source and spread over the internet. It just includes many finished and even unfinished levels. Some of them could only be finished by pushing all the GBA Buttons at once, which I found out during my Lets Play of this mentioned Beta. Very sad to say is, that this version only has french subtitles and difficulty selection, as well as password entry screens are entirely missing. My Lets Play (Videowalkthrough), which you will find here shows you every level, even the unfinished ones and includes translations and subtitles made by myself. Come with me and explore the greatness of this version that will never see the light of day, featuring commentary by myself.

Sonics Ultimate Genesis Collection PS3 Trophy Guide

Read the Full Sonics Ultimate Genesis Collection FAQ
The SEGA Genesis was released in the United States, while the SEGA Mega Drive was released in Europe. They are different names for the same console! This circumstance is the reason for the different names of the compilation this FAQ is based on.
The Name for this Ultimate Collection is Sonics Ultimate Genesis Collection in the US and SEGA Mega Drive Ultimate Collection in Europe.
I played the european PS3 version of the game. My descriptions even work with the XboX360 version, since every version includes the same games and the same amount of trophies/archievments. I grow up with the Mega Drive (I never was a fan of Nintendo).
Lets read a little preview from my FAQ, which descripses how to reach 100% for all of the games inside this collection. Over 40 classic Sega Genesis/Mega Drive games await you!
Trophy Overview
There are 18 bronze, 15 silver and 4 gold trophies to unlock in this Ultimate Collection. You need to unlock 37 trophies in total to get the last trophy with the number 38 – the platinum trophy.
===Complete Chaos – Sonic The Hedgehog Trophy
Requirement: Obtain a Chaos Emerald
Description:
You can find the first Chaos Emerald inside the first bonus-level after the first act. Make sure to have 50 or more rings before reaching the end of the level or else the big golden ring does not appear. Just save your game before you need to jump through the big golden ring at the end of level 1. I you fail to spin through it, just load your game and start another attempt. Jump through the ring to reach the bonus-level.
Save your game again at the start of the bonus-level and make your way until you find the emerald rotating inside a cage of obstacles. Be careful not to fall into the GOAL, which let you leave the bonus level. Save patient and hit the obstacles that block your way to the emerald and break them. Now grab the emerald, an extra life and the trophy.
Well done!
===A Different Tail – Sonic 3 Trophy
Requirement: Collect 100 rings with Tails anywhere on Angel Island Zone
Description:
Make sure you select Tails before starting the game. It is not very hard to collect 100 rings during the level. Just save your game before difficult areas and make sure not to get hit by anything, which causes you to lose all already collected rings. Be patient and you should not have any problem to have 100 rings at the end of the level.
===Three Times a Charm – Streets of Rage Trophy
Requirement: Complete 1st Level using all 3 characters
Description:
You need to solve the first stage with all three available characters. This is a very time intense task, because you need to play it three times, if you play alone. Just complete the first stage with any character and reset the game. Choose the next character and complete the stage again… and one more time with the last character. I played this classic game with my friend, because we loved to play every game of the series in the past over and over again.
X-Mas Filler + Lets Play Review
Two years on Youtube are over now. I uploadet manyguides and spoken channel updates. I added a lot of different videogame video walkthroughs from different genres. From first person shooter up to classic platforming games. Now its time for a review about my work from 2009. Lets get straight to the point, shall we?
December 2008
Its December the 7th, my first anniversary. I made a video with cool music and gameplay scenes of the guides that I have added to Youtube and made a lot of promisses and announcements that never got true.
I promissed to add my personal Duke Nukem 3D Lets Play, which shows all the secrets hidden inside the levels. I recordet and editied 3 videos already, that never got uploadet to my account. I dont know if it will ever be a part of my collection of video game videowalkthroughs. Its like the waiting for Duke Nukem Forever, which seems to be doomed, because 3DRealms is no more. All I can say is: My Duke 3D guide will be released “When its done!”.
Another promisse, continuing my Call of Duty: Modern Warfare guide, never comes true. I dont have the time and the lust to continue it. Two more CoD games are released since this day and I found out that there are much better people out there to do the job. Shadowzack, for example, kicks ass in playing CoD games.
Promise for 2010
This year I start slow with only one promise. Quake 4 is the game of my desire. I already recordet the first set, more follow over the christmas vacation. I dont know when I will start to upload the series yet. I think the middle of January would be a good time.
Without You, I am nothing!
Thats true. I would not be the one I am without you, my subscribers and fans. Thank you for a second year of commenting, rating and watching my videos. I take a break over new year and come back with more video game videowalkthroughs in 2010. Until then I wish you a merry X-Mas and a Happy New Year!
Just watch the following video to know what you can do until I am back:
God of War PS3 Trophy Guide
!Complete FAQ can be watched and downloadet here!
This is just a preview of the FAQ. The complete FAQ features descriptions for all trophies of God of War and God of War II. It will be available as Download in PDF format when its done.
I reached 100% of all God of War Trophies with 2 run-throughs inside a single week. The first run was on Hard Mode! It was though but I never accept the offer to switch to Easy Mode. Hurray! The second run was on easy to grab the last missing trophies. Now I want to give you some tips how to get em all. You should note that there is no “Complete the Game on God Mode” trophy in the list, wich means that you dont need to complete the game in this Difficulty Mode unless you want to unlock all the Treasures in the game itself (costume select, the truth about Kratos family and the second secret message). If you are up to beat the game on God Mode and to unlock all the treasures, be advised that you can get the first secret message by destroying the two statues in the last room of the game (200 hits each) I was very satisfied about this circumstance not to be forced to play through God Mode.
Anyway, lets begin with the trophy list. Here we go:
BRONCE TROPHIES
- Rockin’ the Boat – Complete the Sex Mini-Game
- After fighting the Hydra and reaching Athens you start in your cap with two beautiful naked woman lie on your bed. By Pushing the R2-Button you just talk with them. You need to jump on the bed and to push the Circe-Button to interact with them. It’s not only a good practice for the many Quick-Time-Events, it also rewards you with red globes and a trophy.
- Don’t Leave Her Hanging – Rescue the Oracle with 10 seconds to spare
- This is a easy one. Just finish the race to rescue the Oracles with 10 seconds left on the timer.
- Splash – Kiss the Nyad
- There are 4 Nyads that can be found during the Test of Poseidon under water. By pushing the R2-Button you just read Kratos thoughts. You need to push the Circle-Button near the Nyad to kiss her and to get the trophy.
- Zero Health = Bronze Trophy
- This is an easy one. Just open a Chest when your heath meter is already full.
- Hitman – Get a 100 Hits Combo
- There are to places to achieve this trophy. The first one is near the locked door that you need to open by a puzzle short before you can acquire Zeus Fury or during the Test of Atlas while a block is coming near you and you have to kill all enemies before it smashes you.Make sure to have Poseidon’s Rage at last on Level 2 and play on Normal or Hard Mode.
It’s near impossible to get this trophy on Easy Mode because the enemies have less health and die very quick what makes it hard for you to collect enough hits.
All you have to do is to wait until you are surrounded by a lot of enemies. Now is the time to cast Poseidon’s Rage and to smash the Circle-Button. Tada! Now you have over 100 hits and get the trophy.
- Getting My Ass Kicked – Die enough times to get offered Easy Mode
- You need to play the game at last on Normal Mode and to die during the same battle exactly 5 times to get offered to change the difficulty to Easy Mode. Dont win a battle and activate the next checkpoint or the counter will be set back to zero.
SILVER TROPHIES
- Kratos’ Marble Collection – Collect all the Gorgon Eyes
- There are 18 Gorgon Eyes wich increase your healt-meter. You can find more than 18 Gorgon Eyes spread all over the Chests that can be found in the game. You get the trophy by collecting all 18 Gorgon Eyes.
- Stick it in Your Cap! – Collect all the Phoenix Feathers
- There are 18 Phoenix Feathers wich increase your mana-meter. You can find more than 18 Phoenix Feathers spread all over the Chests that can be found in the game. You get the trophy by collecting all 18 Phenix Feathers.
- Hitman 2 – Get a 200 Hits Combo
- Check the Trophy “Hitman 1″ above to know the two best places to reach the trophy. Cast Poseidon’s Rage once more and bash the Circle-Button again to get over 200 hits. The trophy is yours now!
- Legend of the Twins – Watch the ‘Birth of the Beast’ Treasure
- After you have completed the game once you unlock a short movie in the Treasure list. Just play this video and you get the trophy.
- Seeing Red – Max out all Weapons and Magic
- It’s near impossible to max out all weapons and magic on Normal Mode or higher, because you get less red globes by defeating enemies. Play the game on Easy Mode and try to follow this simple rules:
- Kill your opponents very brutal to get more red globes as you would get by just killing them the normal way
- Open the by two Muse-Keys locked secret room in Rings of Pandora to get a large boost of experience
- Try to find every chest wich include red orbs during the game
- You get the most globes in chests on your escape from the underworld
- During the first battle against Ares try to fail the mini-game after the first sequence when Kratos jumps on Ares shoulders to get lots of experience levels, up to 5 times
- It’s near impossible to max out all weapons and magic on Normal Mode or higher, because you get less red globes by defeating enemies. Play the game on Easy Mode and try to follow this simple rules:
GOLD TROPHIES
- You Got the Touch! – Climb the Spiked Column in Hades without taking damage
- You only have to climb the first Spiked Column in Hades without taking damage to achieve this trophy. It’s not very hard to solve this task. Just focus on the blades of the column and dont hesitate. I can’t tell you if you need to load your game after you got hit by one of the blades to reset the requirement not to get hit. I always quit the game and load the savegame before the next attempt to survive this column untouched. Thanks to many comments and tips from my readers, we know now that you dont need to restart or to load your game after you got hit. Just make it to the top to unlock the trophy.
- I’ll Take the Physical Challenge – Complete the Challenge of the God
- You can select the Challenge of the Gods in the treasure menu after completing the game for the first time. Just beat the 10 stages of this challenge to archive the trophy.
- Speed of Jason McDonald – Beat the game in under 5 hours on any Difficulty
- I completed this task together with the trophy “Seeing Red”. It’s possible to be under 5 hours and to max out all weapons when you play on Easy Mode.To accomplish this task follow this simple rules:
- Play on Easy Mode
- Dont kill every enemy on your way to spare some time and just kill all enemies if you are forced to through a magical barrier
- I completed this task together with the trophy “Seeing Red”. It’s possible to be under 5 hours and to max out all weapons when you play on Easy Mode.To accomplish this task follow this simple rules:
- Key to Success – Collect all of the Muse Keys
- There are only 2 Muse-Keys in the world, but enough chests to find one. I found one in a chest behind Atlas and the second one during the climb on a wall.
This is it folks! Now grab your Platinum Trophy! Oh wait.. there are still more trophies to discover during the game. Just progress through the game and complete it once to get the last missing trophies by just playing the game
And here are the missing trophies:
Opinion: God of War Remastered

One of the greatest Hack and Slash series of all time that I discovered first in 2008 through Skorch82 video-walkthroughs is about to get its third installment. I did not know what to expect from it. I was a big fan of the Soul Reaver series and after I have watched two videos of Skorchs guide I knew that I am going to like the God of War games, too. In 2008 I made my PlayStation2 ready again and bought me the two parts of God of War that I missed. I played 5 hours per day and finished both games inside one single week and I was still screaming for more! God of War III will come and now I get the chance to replay this two epic stories again on my PlayStation3.
A short overview
There is no need to explain the story of the game because it would spoil too much. All you should know is that you play as Kratos – one of Spartans greatest Warlords – but his fate condemned him to serve the gods and to obey their orders in reverse for everything he once loved. Terrible nightmares dont let him sleep most of the time until Athena offers his soul peace after one final task: He needs to destroy Ares – the god of war.
The God of War games are well known for their varied gameplay. Most of the time you will slaughter, tear up and kill enemies in a very brutal and bloody way. You collect orbs of different color to regain health, mana and to upgrade your blades and force wich you need to unlock while playing through the game and solving tricky puzzles. The games won a lot of prices, including “Game of the Year” honors from the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences and is listed in almost every Top Playstation 2 game ranking of admitted sites and magazines.
The game was re-released on the Playstation 3 this year in a Collectors Edition, featuring a trophy system and remastered for rendition in High Definition. I got it for 23 EUR in reverse for my Playstation 2 releases at GameStop and played it today. Lets see if the promotion campaign that promises “a much better experience of two greatest hits” is justified.
Collectors Edition
Lets get straight to the point: The Collectors Edition for PS3 is better as I have expected. You get both games, including all their features and mini games that were inside the original releases and every “Making of” episode + new “Making of” content can be found and viewed directly from the blue ray disk. The games itself were remastered f0r rendition in 720p HD. That means that every texture and model was edited and drawn again by hand to give the edges the look of a 2x AntiAliasing (AA cant be rendered by the PS3 graphics chip) and better sharpness. But there are still some weak points wich I dont like that much: All with the ingames engine premade cut scenes look as awful as they were in the original releases for the PS2. Only the animated videos beat their predecessor versions by far! The graphic inside the game looks a way better as before but always reminds you on the fact that the God of War games were first released on the PS2. Some textures look very blurry and misplaced, but this is what you need to accept if you buy a game that was mentioned to be played on a platform from the last console generation.
Please dont misunderstand me, the Collectors Edition is great and the games look really awesome and you can see that they put a lot of effort into the remastering. I only wish that they had put in a little bit more time into making it. The same goes for the trophies. I thought there were much more but until now I just see trophies for God of War I. The CE does not remove the old gameplay and the game’s atmosphere is still the greatest you will ever experience. God of War I and II are outstanding games that I really love to enjoy both a second time. It’s a dirty, brutal and violent world in wich Kratos lives and a MUST BUY for every fan and people who never had the chance to play the originals.

Lets Play: System Shock – Set 2 Review
Watch my Lets Play (Videowalkthrough) for this game here!
I want to continue my review about my very own System Shock Lets Play with this article. I have removed S.H.O.D.A.N.s control over the Elevator on the Medical Section of the Space Station in the first set. Lets take a look at Set 2, which I called “Laser Destruction”.Me, the Hacker is going to fulfill a plan to destroy the Stations Mining Laser, which is a threat for earth because S.H.O.D.A.N. wants to use it to destroy our beloved home world.
Set 2: Laser Destruction
S.H.O.D.A.N. wants to use the stations mining laser to destroy earth. I have to stop this madness before the laser is completely recharged. Dr. Dárcy had a plan about how to use the electric shields of the station to destroy the laser already but he is dead now. Thanks to his notes, which he has recorded to an audiolog, I know now what he wanted to do. If I could manage to activate the shields, than I could fire the laser into the shields and blow this damn thing up. I didn’t knew that this plan takes longer to complete as I thought.
I first have to find the Isotope-22 and to put it into the shields control station, which I will find at the Reactor Level of Citadel Station.
The second step is to get the laser security override code from the library on the Research Deck. With this code I could put the laser security offline and fire the laser. But the lights in the beta-quardrant, where the library is, are off. I have to put the lights on first, before I can enter this quadrant.
Now the third and last step. All I have to do is to fire the laser with a switch in the center of the Research Level. If I fail to carry out these task before the laser is fully recharged, then earth will be no longer and S.H.O.D.A.N. will win.
