Deus Ex: The Fall PC Review

We heard a lot of complains about Deus Ex: The Fall for PC from other channels and reviews. My review won’t deny any of the flaws mentioned in these publications, but once again I think that most of them are just overdone after playing the game myself.

The game looks like it was made 10 years earlier, but have in mind it is still a mobile port! Nixxes did a very good job in making it look as good as they could. Me as an old gamer, I don’t care about graphics as long as the overall presentation is good. And The Fall’s presentation is flawless even though with flaws.

Most of these flaws seem to come up when the game is played entirely lethal. So either some of the reviewers aren’t stealth gamers or they should look for another job, cuz they seem not good at what they’re doing. My preferred playstyle is Ghost, which means never be seen. In the portion of the game I played, solving the small area challenges as ghostly as possible, nothing of the by other people mentioned flaws jumped up on me. I had a perfect run.

As mentioned earlier the presentation of The Fall is in my eyes flawless, due the well written story, the good flashed out characters and the fact that The Fall’s city hubs and areas to infiltrate feel like places. Guards taken down disappear and you can buy equipment such as weapons and grenades whenever you need them. This might sour some people but I think it changes the pace of the game so far that you still can be very cautious and at the same time effective when playing ghostly.

So is the game worth 10 bucks? If you are a stealth purist then I say yes! If you are more the fighter type, killing everything that moves then I’d say stick to all the other good reviews and wait for a discount, because what the game features is an well done story and a live and breathing world to explore, worth of having the name Deus Ex in it.
