Wii U? Really? Thoughts of someone always hating Nintendo but trying to be objective.

Hey u guys, lets get down with my thoughts. i am no Nintendo fan, never was. What Nintendo attempts with Wii U is to drag players familiar with the social networking habit they know from facebug & co into their boat. I am none of them!

The big question I have is if game developers will trust the new possibilities they will have with Wii U? When I recall what Nintendo has accomplished in the last years then it is that especially big devs didn’t cared much to release their tripple A titles on Nintendo handhelds and the not-HD-ready Wii. Most games even came from japanese dev studios. These platforms had good casual family games, no question: Solving puzzles, telling stories of clicky colorful fantasyworlds (yawn), having fun with break-filling products. No real game to spend serious hours with.

The company still seems to count on their gigantic fanboy fanbase (psychotic fanatics would fit here more) and casual or family audience and it needs more than just a game with zombies, blood&core and immature features to get my attention. Hardcore Nintendo bricks gonna love any new Mario, Zelda or Asteroids game and will never be tired of this childish franchises that make me puke because of their unimportance.

No question, Nintendo is unchallenged in bringing people that never played games before into the mood of playing. But they still fail to convince serious gamers like myself. They’re not Sony or Microsoft. They’re just the same company I never cared for. You don’t like my opinion? Good, then free your hate and tell me how unreasonable I am.
