I announced many projects during 2010 and just the half of this projects made it into action. The main reason seemed to be that I am just a lazy person, but after some thinking I came to the conclusion: The main reason for so many projects getting aborted was my retirement as gameanyone contributor. Most of the guides that I recorded and made commentary for were already marked with the gameanyone watermark. I didn’t wanted to upload videos with a watermark for a site, which I was going to leave very soon.
In had my love projects like the System Shock 2 and SHOGO Let’s Plays, which I was willing to succeed in, since they meant a lot to me, even if they already got the watermark on them. The other announced projects were too short or too long games. I struggled between releasing them exclusively on gameanyone only or available for a bigger audience on youtube.
Short games like Blood or Wolfenstein3D were done up to Episode 1, but due my struggle I totally ignored them and never continued with other episodes. The first episodes of that games are still on my drive with the watermark. I now either record them again or hide the mark. The longer Let’s Play for Resident Evil was already finished and meant a lot to me too, so I picked it to be uploaded even if the videos still got the watermark.
The other big Let’s Play for Dark Reign – The Future of War was done up to Mission 2 for each faction, but since this guide would have need more months to complete and due the very small amount of videos, I decided to erase it.
The same goes with StarCraft II Hard Difficulty Let’s Play. It is completed to 20%, but still got the watermark. But I don’t want to promote the site by adding these videos to Youtube either.
I am still not sure which of the big Let’s Plays I want to record again. The best idea would be to let them rest and to focus on newer projects instead, even if many of my subscribers will be sad or angry about that fact. The ones that will be angry, just don’t seem to know that I spend my private time to create Let’s Plays. They need to accept it or to quit subscription, but then I know that they were just morons that didn’t cared much anyway.
The ones that care need to read my promise. Lands of Lore and System Shock 2 continue even in 2011 and first end when the last credit rolled over the screen. And I also have some other
